Car is worth every penny of the 8.5k he's asking but is worth more in bits.

Problem is that buying an ERST at 8.5k is far too rich unless it was a proven time and time again car.


Stu knows this and it will be in bits soon I am sure.

I can see it happening.... No one in my eyes will buy it at 8.5k, One its not an RS, If it was then maybe some supernerd concourse guy may have had it

but its just a Mk4 with a bloody good engine

I know what your saying and 5 years ago I'd have agreed but quite frankly now it matters not a bit.. RS is a load of shite.... its just about fast fords...

I understand hes spent quite a lot on the engine at NMS, but when you modify a car you rarely get it back. When this car was originally for sale it was 4k,,, which complete is worth that,, or maybe a touch more now.

Not been an RS does effect its value imo,,, should definetely brake the car to get the best return

 

full engine rebuild and new management as far as i can tewll with reading the feature and that

Ok i can see a few k, but not 8500, plus the hassle etc.

The downpipe is a mess, a 13 quid 2.5" mandrell bend would gain a couple of ponies and look a lot better IMO.

Having driven the car I can confirm that the car is a beast!

But I also think it's going to be difficult to get what he wants for it as it is so I suggested to him that he takes the engine etc out & puts the car back to standard then sells the car cheaper & sells the engine etc seperate.

That might be a better way for him to recoup some of the money spent on the car.

end of tyhe day its not a genuine RS, which in some peoples eyes, will totally put people off. There is absolutely no chance of getting 8.5k for that car.. yes it looks tidy, yes its probably quick, but all it is, is an xr3i with a quick engine in it..

No dig intended here its a lovely car, and I for one would like to see it sold in one piece rather than bits... If the price was reduced to 4k maybe 4.5k tops, I'd have it...

 

no way would you get close to 8.5k in bits or as a whole.
it was probably worth more in bits before the decent managment was raped off it and old cossie managment was put on.

fact he dont even mention its a turbo in the title wont exactly attract buyers either.

downpipe isnt bad, not pretty, but would work just as well as if it was one piece. its a smooth bend still. function over form.
