This was a problem for the older ones as well, if it was in fourwheel drive! Reversing was fine if it was not in fourwheel drive.!

I had a 57 plate Navara Aventura auto. It got burnt out when it was 7 weeks old but I still managed 4k miles in it.
The Euro 4 spec motor mine had did 20mpg while the earlier Euro 3 spec do low 30s even though the Euro 4 is supposed to be greener!!!
I fitted a Tunit box to up mine to 200ish bhp and the fuel consumption improved to 23mpg average...PLUS it fooking flew!
Stay away from Euro 4 spec engined Navaras if you are concerned about MPG
A 55/56 plate (Euro 3) AVENTURA Auto is the best model to buy IMO

brand new mate, outlaw model, im getting over 25mpg,
got 24mpg on motorway towing an escort cossie on a trailer,
i drive it quite spirited though as its fun and drives more like a car than a pickup, its quiet comfy and a proper cruising bus, im ahpy to sit at 90 on motorway in 6th quiet as a mouse and smooth
it was brand new, pre registered Ł15,800
