there is ways around it though,

they cant prove that your video was accurate, as there is no accurate reading of speed, (we all know how far out speedo's are)

is it clear to see you are on a road? or was it in your video title?

dont just blurt out that you were on a test track, they'l send a copper along the road to video the journey you made and show it against your video,

in all honesty, get a damned good solicitor and you MAY get a lenient sentance, but i think they're gonna make an example of you and your gonna eat porrige mate

Well what the "propper" story is (not the one I told the police lol), nice 2 mile long straight outside my house, couple of miles outside Dumfries, so was driving home and decided to see how fast it would go, and for some reason thought it'll be a good idea to video this.

All you see is the speedo, nothing else, no rev counter or road or me at any point, going from like 10mph to off the clock, then once its back down to around 70 you get like 2 seconds of the road then its off.
But one of my mates used some editing stuff he had to put another clip of my car at the start of the video. Then it went on youtube and like 9 months later I gots arrested

Thats the video there, TBH the first bit was made months before I done it when I first got the car, but I'm getting done fir perverting the course of justice cos the plates are covered, I just done that so noone knew my plate

30mph or more above the limit and the court will consider a ban. Well thats what it says on the paperwork I got for my court case this week anyway. I was 23 over the limit in a 30 so hopefully points and fine.

 

By the time I found out he knew I'd been arrested, 'someone' poured paint stripper on his car not long after it so I didnt need to do anything

1)if as you say the said video has been cut etc to have your car in the vid p.c boffs can prove this so there is no way to be 100% sure it was your doing the speed??

From what I can tell, and I ain't no law expert, but if you can prove from a reliable credible source, that your car cannot actually and physically do the speed you are being tried for, then you can get off, as it puts the speed detector device used at a doubt, showing it misread. If the device shows as misread, then it don't matter if you were doing 130 or 135 or whatever speed, as long as the device has misread, you could have been doing 43mph as opposed to 143

The fact that YOU say your car wont go that fast means nothing, as said you could of taken the engine out and swapped it for an 850cc mini engine.
You need to prove Thier equipment is wrong,as i havent read all the posts,if you got measured at 100ish mph then its a ban of some description or another, if you get measured at 143 or even 130 it could mean jail,very simple.
They will look at everything,road conditions, how busy it was,time of day/night,on your own,with your mate showing off,how you were driving car condition, all just to pin something on you.

I think you might be just unlucky but what do i know.

 

i got done for doing in excess of 120 but if they are saying you were doing 143 and your car can't do that then they are wrong.


my friend was caught speeding in a 30 with a scooter he had it all tuned up not sure the facts but he de tuned it got it tested and got off with it

point is he was still speeding but the scooter never done the speed they said he was

 

he has not been caught speeding its all to do with a you tube vid to which i feel there is no evidence to say 100% its him doing the speed
