Default Getting rid of the smell of smoke.

I just received a lead in car from work and the last person smoked in it, It stinks and as a non smoker makes me feel a little sick.

Whats the best way of getting rid of the smell.

Mate, I had a similar probelm recently when I bought my latest stinker to keep the EscCos in the garage. I used loads of fabreeze and it seemed to work.

I hope it works, cos i am like you. Cant stand the smell of stale smoken the dirty gits!

Remove the ashtrays and thoroughly clean them.
Windows open whenever possible and plenty of Fabreze on any fabric surfaces, including the carpet.
Pressure wash and removable mats and allow to dry before replacing.

Get it valeted properly, vax the seats and as said above use loads of febreze. We have a "fogger" thing as well which is basically a "disco style" smoke machine that you put scented syrup stuff in and it soaks into the interior trim.

There's also some REALLY strong air freshener [in a high powered can, goes off like a fire extinguisher ] which only needs a quick parp and lasts ages. Just checked the back of the can and it's from UK Valet Supplies in Woking, no web address but the phone number is 01483 720 001 if you want some. It's called Fresh 'n' up and comes in a few flavours, cherry is the best and hides dog smell and cigarette smoke.

Or take a shit in the glovebox? Soon mask the smell of smoke.
