Stopped the car lark
The income is boosted by the shares each 3 years approx £330k before CGT and no NI next payment is in June 09 around £67k and then the same every 6 months until its paid out and then a year of drought and then the payments commence again
We call it "golden Handcuffs" at work
I also get to go on some incredible trips with work "teambuilds"
Ice Hotel Sweeden 5 days
South of France Sailing 4 Days
Verbier Skiing for 5 days every march
5 Days in Cape Town every year with the managers of restaurants
On top of that at least 15-20 opportunities to go away with my Area Managers each year on there team trips
Its a hard life I LOVE IT
The rest is basic and bonus etc
Cars just an A6 avant looking at getting a 996 in March with bonus probably a 2001-2003 plate Carrera4S
The rest goes on Holidays , Properties now have 3 flats around teh country and kids education
Nige

I remember when I started out working (after paper rounds etc) I joined a company as a trainee... took home 350 quid my first month.. At 16, I was loving it.. and lets just say it's all paid off well now
Everyone has to start somewhere..
Westy you dont come accross as being on a lot more than Gracey....especially as you were so tight over the RST
I spent enough on the escort with engine, paintjob, geraboxes etc.. But why would someone want to waste all there hard earnt cash on a shitty escort..? Comany shares, a decent pension, studying for my degree... house etc are far more important thanks..
I do alright ..

Its all relative to expenditure though dont forget.
Lets say you earn £350 a week and pay £1200k a month for a mortgage on your 220K 3bedroom semi. Without a partner you will draw even and have a few quid spare for food as you earn £1516 a month and have £316 left after paying your mortgage.
If your southern counterpart earns £700 a week but pays £2800 a month on his 450K morrtgage for the exact same sort of house... he will actually have a worse standard of living than you do as he has less spare cash yet teh same ammenieties due to him earning £3033 a month but paying outa higher percentage of it than you do. He will have only £233 left.
Its all relative, and you need to remember that.

thats SOOO true, i dont get paied great tbh,, dont get paied that bad either if im honest for a person who never went to school and is generally a lazy looser who spends hes life partying ect most weekends
but my expenditure is less than most people meaning i dont need a great wage to enjoy life,,,,, i worked out the other day that if i wasnt lucky with my house purchase back in the day and helped by someone then i would need to earn DOUBLE what i do now to have the freedom i do
the DOWNSIDE though is i would be more motivated in life and not so fucking lazy
but my missus has been working hard for a few years in college and is gonna be in uni in february meaning that in 2 years time we will be very very comfortable and i should have grown up by then too

Are they using the old battersea power station as part of the set - a few friends who are train drivers down that way have seen a load of filming going on there when passing on the main line
