Im still using the STD gauge. When Karl mapped it, he said my greens were maxed out, giving me 32psi spike, but cant remember the held figure. i REALLY need to get an aftermarket gauge for it.

Staffi: My T34 is PROPER punchy, especially after 4k if you floor it. I love it. probably the same as what you had maybe?

oh, and tonight, i got FLAMES! YEY!

What I'm more curious of is the Turbo Technics T38, the only person I know on here who has used one with big results is Mad Yum, no idea who boost he was running though to make the power he had.

Peaks and held on peoples T38's would be good please
Mine peaks at 30psi, holds 28psi, i had a .48 T34 on my last engine and although that was more punchy low down, the T38 pulls hard right to the limiter (around 7k) whereas the T34 was running out of puff around 6k.

The difference is more noticeable in 3rd, 4th and 5th, it just keeps pulling, its relentless!

I've heard a lot of bad things said aboout the Tt T38 but i'm realyy happy with mine!

Have to agree there, when i first drove my Saph with the T38 i wasn't that keen on it, BECAUSE the memories of how punchy my T34.48 was, BUT after a few hours driving it becomes noticable how good it is, really pulls hard like you say right to 7k+, 3rd 4th gear it's a blast to drive..

BUT i'm still going to go GT30 in the new year.. if the misses lets me..

Thats what I'm after really, the car won't weigh much so I imagine it will get going well enough off boost, if its still really strong around the limter then its a bonus

I have read the TT T38 "issues" is mainly surge and something my tuner has said to be won't be a problem although I chose to go down this route off my own back as he thinks a properly set up engine using a T34 on a MK2 is the most you need.

Quite sure Dingy and others would disagree with that

What power did you make with that turbo Kelv ?
i have no idea mate, never had it on the rollers to prove what it did or didnt have

that 35psi was normally achieved by 3400rpm.

in some ways i regret selling the engine, the car was so much fun and enjoyable to drive - just hoping the new engine keeps me entertained as much
