Default is this worth the asking price?

Just came across this at jct28 and just need a little advice from people its a 1999 V Reg motorsport escort cosworth it looks mint and has low mileage but i want to know is it worth buying at the asking price of £13,995? and will i have trouble selling it on etc? Here is the link but it uses frames so please go to page 2 and its 3 cars down its the white escos, any advice would be great thanks.

The badges on the boot are all in the wrong place for some reason and for that kind of money why dont you buy one which you know you wont have problems selling on after Theres a nice one in the cars for sale room at the moment roflol

anyone care to share their bad experience with J28 i heard a load of crap about them, but most people just saying what they've heard from someone else and for all i know could just be a load of made up bollox

answer to question, no dont spend 14k on a "motorsport" V reg escos look on pistonheads instead loads of nice cars come on there

here's one for example, all standard and a late spec low miler one

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/201966.htm

looks lovely, a little more to pay on top, but at least its got a sunroof

Anyone looking for an Escos that is GENUINELY worth 14K ish, should go straight to the cars for sale section and buy the one in there thats undisputedly the best i have ever driven. And i have driven a LOT of them.

End of topic really...

i know what you all mean about buying an original one but the only reason i want to go for this on is that i need finance and all escos's are over the 10 yr old mark so are too old to finance but it does look mint and shows up on insurance as an escos so its not a replica like i first thought but all you have to do is wack a private P or R plate on an who's to know the difference until i come to sell it on? I dont know part of me says go for it the other is setting alarm bells ringing.

the rest are normally along the lines of "over priced tat" etc

Its definatly not the car it was when it was brought i can tell you its had thousends spent on it by Rich to get it to the standard it is now and if you know him ask him what there service was like

The car is now awesome the paint work is spot on and its stunning to drive and is just good in every way.

I went to junction 28 to view some and they definatley were not good examples, Just recently there was a case on the rsoc board where they were trying to sell a 9600 mile one with so much rust underneath it was un real.

Believe me i double checked and double checked my car when i found out where it came from and fortunatly everything checked out ok

As stated someone would have brought a motorsport trimmed shell and built it up from there, so really is basically a replica yes.Back in those days it was allowed to go on a v reg nowerdays it would go on a q plate

Dont finance it then, just apply for a general bank loan, can guarantee the interest rate will be loads lower as well, plus you can borrow more for when it brakes!!

I love how busy the bandwagon gets about this Jct 28 place.

They've been in business for longer than most people on here have kept a job and they've sold more cars than most of the same people put together, so how bad can the company be to STILL be trading?? Trust me, trading standards are FAR more efficient than some internet forum lynch mob.

Some of the cars MAY be shite but they don't make them, they buy them from people like you lot

£12k i personally wouldnt pay more than that, plus it doesnt even have a sunroof or opening rear quarters, does it have the motorsport seats as these wernt made by recaro.
