Default Why does the PF search not work properly (or is it just me)

Hi,
I was trying to search for an old post and it seems that the search doesn't work properly. No matter what search term I enter I can't get any results before mid april 2007 - even if I search for a word like "turbo".

Have threads older than this been deleted to save space or are they just unsearchable?

Cheers
Mark

search has its ups and downs but also no pioint searching for a single word as it pointless you put turbo in prob be over 250000 posts so use more than 3 words to a search and try that

Sorry - you've misunderstood. It doesn't matter what I search for I can't get anything before mid April. I tried searching for Turbo because I knew it would get thousands of hits but even that stops at April. Try it yourself and you'll see what I mean.

It's a shame because there is so much useful information within the site - you just can't get to a lot of it.

I been here too mat made an identical post like this. basically its a huge drain on the system so common words are removed, something like that.

the answer I got from stu was use passionford google search , that did the job

Also, the default is 'Search for any term', I always select 'Search for all terms' first to see what this pulls up.

Can't understand why it is only going back to April though.

The Passionford search is the worst of any forum I use.
