with the actuator arm off the wastegate arm only moved back towards the actuator less than half a MM. so think its all fine!

as said above found the problem, wasnt turbo or boost problem was throttle prob! not enough revs to get decent boost. at first as it was so sluggish with little or negative boost thought it was turbo but now ive tightened up the throttlr cable its sorted.

feel like a right numpty though

cheers for all the help though!!

Ahh I see, you mean it should be 3mm AWAY from the actuator arm in the first place!! it was very tight when i took it off the first time so it was probably me messin with it for 3 hours that caused that!!

sorry mate misunderstood the first time!

as far as my limited knowledge goes with stuff like this after owning a FRST and taking apart afew cossies with mates, it is all ok. boost is fine, now throttle is fixed.

although cos i had to tighten up the throttle cable so much it has pulle the pedle right down!
Ive gone from no acceleration at all to basically having a throttle "switch" its either on....... fully or off

need the throttle assembly now as its totally mullered beyond all recognition!!

mt heart sank when i thought it was new turbo time already! only had it just over a year and it dont get used that often!!!

panic over
