im just about to start my friends newly built cossie engine for the first time , but he has just informed me that the engine builder put a bung in the hole directly under the breather hole in the cam cover.


im assuming its a breather to vent crank case pressure and should deffo not be blocked?

also this car has no hole in the cam cover. why was it on some cars and not others?

where does the crank case pressure go when the cover has no hole?

help please as he thinks its fine and im being stupid

does it have a hole in teh top of the cam cover?

as std no cosworth did

but under the rocker cover they all have the hole ready to be drilled out for an atermarket breather system

what about the hole in the head though. i take it should not be interfered with and left open

sure i just saw a cossie bonnet and cam cover orbit over my house

 

did they look irish

she fired up. everything fine so just need to whip the cover off and invetigate how he blocked it.. fookin farmer mechanics
