great cars, brilliant all rounders.

all S-bodys are great when modded, but S14s and S15s are great when standard too, and a few lil tweeks make em even better.

unfortunatley i own a S12 and S13, and they shite when standard, so i have to mod them

Have a look on www.driftworks.com as well.

If u buy an S14a, make sure the turbo gaskets have been changed as its a common fault on these cars. Because the exhaust is so ridged it pulls on the turbo and makes it loose, easy way 2 tell if they are gone is a screaming noise under load. Ideally u would want 2 stick some flexy pipe on the exhaust 2 stop it but not many people do. Also if they have been replaced make sure that the oil and water hoses 2 the turbo are replaced for braided hoses.

The VVT spoket makes a slight rattle when started up, put it in gear and release the clutch and it will make a nastly grinding nose but it wont do it again, until its next started up. It wont get any worse and people tend 2 live with it.

The lsd is a bit tempermental on the higher millage cars, and sometimes only spin the inside wheel, but so many have been writen off there are always spare parts availiable. Or u can just weld the diff up.

All in all tho they are a great car, and make u look like a drifting god, so easy 2 stick sideways, but be careful as these are not nick named the widdow maker for no reason!!

I was doing 1000 town miles a month and it was costing £250 in fuel so not 2 bad for a stage 1 240bhp car.

Anything u need 2 know about the cars look on www.sxoc.com

Hope that helps.

Stu

go for the s14a with the air-con and leather

they are a little thirsty but nothing drastic

great to drive, long bonnet makes it feel like a capri, standard suspension wollows around like rik wallah on a buckaroo

Check this insurance though, wanna be drifters have driven the prices of policies through the roof, i can get insured on my stage 3 saff for cheaper than a 200sx

plenty sideways action and loads of tuning parts

a reliable 300bhp is easy with just a few mods
