Carrera GT???? I don't think you did!!!
996 GT2?
You may keep up to 100mph
997 GT3
you may keep up to around 110mph
Mk1 or Mk2 996 GT3? possibly?? you would keep up to 120 ish...
400bhp Saffs are VERY VERY fast cars don't forget... crap cars... but FAST!
Took me ages to post this so you better get the right one!!!

cant give any more info AJ........he came up behind me off a round about and there was to much traffic to play......then we came to a straight (fuck off) and i indicated and we both went....i dont think he was planning on my car being so quick, cos i left him in second, then slowed down in third, and when he was on the outside of me i floored it up to 120ish and the poor twat sank in his seat.......anyway the next long bit we came to he pulled over.............for a rest i think

Tell you what.... do you think there was just the 'slightest' chance he was just cruising along and suddenly thought who is that twat in the shit old taxi trying to race me????
Hardly sounds like he was 'dropping the hammer' to me mate

Could be a baby carrera 4 with GT spoilers? The GT is a fast car - even if you did beat it, it wouldnt be by much.
And then there is the bends.......

How dare you insult the ability of the Cosworth taxi to marginally beat better cars in a straight line?!

I will be honest though 75% of mk1 GT3's you see on are actually rebadged Carreras with Aerokits fitted.... not slow at all... but they are not fast cars to be fair. The geuine GT3 will do almost 180mph at Brunters... quick cars and you would start to struggle with one above 110 120mph as the Aerodynamics are very good...
996 Mk2 GT3
380bhp and slightly faster than the Mk1...

Porsches are the ultimate performance cars IMO
Cars that you can (ab)use every day and do 'normal car mileage' without worrying if they're going to spill their innards all over the road!
Must be a nice feeling tho to ease in front of one on a bit of straight in an old cossie.......I dont care what anyone says, whoever was be driving the cossie would afford themselves a grin as they eased away from a modern Porsche. Albeit briefly to 100+ or till the bends came. All good fun

Well I blew the doors off the silver GT that was at the Ring in Stevie's M3 . According to Comedy Dan, he had ten years of "Ring experience" and we had to flash him out of the way, as he wouldn't have the fact that a British registered M3 was on his bumper . It was difficult though, as on all the straights he left me for dead, but then on the fast up-hill section after the "Nikki Lauda" corner where it requires total committment at three figure speeds, he finally realised we were considerably faster and let us through . Stevie even had time to take out his phone and take a picture (as we had tried a couple of times previously to get past, but he would not yield or lift to let us through - instead pulling away from us when we had to come off the throttle, only for us to catch up again), which I'm sure he will post up when he gets back off holiday . I realise that he had more to loose, and that the on the limit handling at this point would have had his arse clenching, but it was one of those "YUS!" moments, with Stevie and I giggling like twats .
