Speak to Retro Ford and they will sort out your cambelt pulley so the pump turns the correct way.

Faye ,im doing a n/a blacktop into a mk3 justnow.

Used the powersteering pump bracket and had my mate weld a tensioner on to it so it spins the belt the right way, cheap and should work fine.

Got a sierra 1.8 alternator that was on my old zvh turbo engine, made a bracket that drops it about 15mm and spaces it away from the block by 10mm. Still a bit tight with the waterpump but there is clearance.

So what are the main problems installing a blacktop into a ERST compared to fitting the silvertop ?

Thanks.

Did the Alternator bracket clear the water pump ok?

When you say the original focus belt tensioner ? Do you mean the power steering bracket set up to run the pulley? Have you got pics please? Im not worried about a tensioner to tighten the belt Just need to get the water pump to run in the correct direction

Retro ford can't help as the mod they do would get in the way of the engine mount
