Default T5 gearbox syncro's advice

bit of a struggle changing from 3rd to 4th been told the syncros need doing,how much would this cost to be done roughly on a cosworth T5 gearbox?

its going to cost you around £350/400 as it will need all most a full strip and rebuild

My 2nd cossie did this and it was a pain. Double clutch though and it slots home perfect

ahhhh the old tractor gearbox

but as above its not worth just doing part of the box, do it all

totaly agree


do it all fully everything bearings/seals /syncros/ bulkrings they do a complete overhall kits for this box which is about 200 quid

budget is false economy it will bite you twice


sticky paul has just had his T5 full overhall rebuild been dyno'ed aswell

Gaz stop being tight and get it rebuilt

Like Marco said, i have had mine fully overhauled. COuld have just had 4th sorted but its cheaper in the long run to get teh box sorted.
