If its an EXTERNAL pats module, you can bypass it like any other immobiliser.

If the PATS system is built in to the ECU then you cant bypass it.

I don't know if its internal or external, not seen it yet, I seem to remember if its a blue key then its internal and you buggered , but it has the red bit in the key. Someone mentioned putting a live to the ecu somewere and swopping a few pins over?

Mmmm, usually the red keys indicate an ECU pats version.

If there is a bypass for that version then I havent heard of it...

(Doesnt mean its non existant)

The method you mention sounds like the one used to bypass the
EXTERNAL version.

Sorry I am not much help

Just been informed its running internal EDSI ignition unit inside the ECU and when removing engine loom there were 3 brown wires running inside the car going behind the dash somewere that were cut as not seen before, could this be for the key transponder round the ignition barrel? when one of the brown wires is earthed out the car tries to fire but back fires and pops

Right had a bit of a play with it last night the ECU code is ENVY.

These 3 brown wires that disapeared behind the dash that got cut, traced them back and 2 of them 'T' into the wiring in the main engine loom for the crank sensor (Blue/yellow & Blue green Pins 55, 56 on the hairbrush). I'm guessing these go to the external PATS box and interupt the crank sensor signal? The other remaining brown wire goes back into the engine loom somewere

I'm thinking that when the PATS is activated because its joining into the crank sensor this is partly how it immobalises the engine by re routing the signal. What could the last brown wire do as earthing it makes it even worse I aint got the balls to put a live down it incase it fries the ECU

Cheers for any help
