Default got the car back, big thanks to msd

got the 3-door back today, after fiting level 8,closed loop chip etc,car cranked over no problem,it runs really sweet once its warmed up(actually idles now),but i do have to gas it when starting it up,and still runs a bit rough when cold

havent had a chance to run it properly but my initial thought driving it was defo smoother

thanks again stu

did they have it in for mapping or just fitting of the parts??

it's very difficult to get a cold start map spot on tbh, they need to monitor the car from stone cold, and only have a very limited time to get it right before it's not cold anymore..

so in effect a few mins at the start of the day is all they get...

it will defo drive smoother everywhere else though

Is that a reflection of your mapping skills or how hard it is to do the cold start map?

Both, and to get weather condtions for every type of day in all seasons.
I started from a clean sheet of paper too.
Stu would have used a near enough map and tweaked it (No diss to Stu)

Probally on the main normal running maps - These never take much time
to get right if you are skilled enough.

you need to be critical with fuel pressure etc... this may well be the problem, there are a few variables.

How come you are taking to AVA rather than taking it to MSD to tune their own designed equipment and their chip.

Regards mate.
