my 3 bar is grey my standard 1 black, ecu should be written on label on case, but if you open it,level and 6 have simple plug in chip, level 8 has a baby board on top with chip pluged into that

Obviously, ECU board can (and have been in the past) be swapped into other cases, but a rough guide is:

L1 - small yellow CO pot
L6 - larger, white CO pot
L8 - as L6 but minus mounting lugs
P8 - as L8 but no CO pot (except a few very early ones which did have a CO pot)

The MAP sensor will have a code on it, don't go by the colour of the moulding as not all 3 bar MAP sensors are grey.....

Post up any ECU sticker codes, and the MAP sesnor part no.

as above info and the code for 3bar(Marelli) could be APS05/01 light grey colour ones or SPA05/01 on the dark grey(some were also black)!

its the first 5 digits that are the important ones, the last 6 are probably a batch number,

so:
• APS02 - 2 bar
• PRT06 – 2.5 bar
• APS05 – 3 bar
