Default car storage advise

Hopefully will have a cosworth very soon, however it will only be used when its dry and will only cover 3k per year max. However im not sure if i can get the use of a garage but i have got a secure place to store the car.
My question is would a decent car cover be up to the job of protecting the car when its not being used. Also has anyone any tips or advise on storage of the car outdoors.
Sorry for the crappy questions but im new top all this and the car will be treated like my own child..

Carcoons are brilliant for cars that dont get used much...

Ive been using one for about 5 years now, just for winter between October and April. They are superb

My Cossy lives outside on the drive and before it gets put away it gets a full Shultz treatment on the underside and 2 weatherproof breatheable covers over it after a fully detailed end of year valet.

Works well for me, just whip the covers off every couple of weeks on a dry day and let it run up to temp with the windows open to keep it charged and prevent dampness inside.

Wish I had a garage tho so I could strip it and get bufty over winter.
