Default E bay again......

Ok, im after every ones advise. I sent an item to the address on the blokes paypal account, how ever, he wanted it sent to another address. So at my expense i re sent it to the place he wanted. However, when it arrived it was damaged by parcel force. I then paid for it to be sent back to mine and offered to re fund him the full amount minus the postage, does that seem fair??? I think ive been mugged.....

Fook being a trader!!!!

Id say you've been more than fair mate. i ALWAYS send it to the address on the paypal or your not covered should something go wrong. If they want me to send it to a different address i tell them to put that adress on the paypal then i will. If i give a refund i DONT refund the postage. ive had refunds from paypal and they dont give you the postage back

Always state that you are not responsible for any damage caused by post office. It is not your problem if the buyer does not pay for insurance and the post office damage it.
Very few sellers on Ebay will accept any responsibility for damage in transit. You are too kind to him

hang about here,,,,, why should the bloke be stuffed with the postage price,,,, YOU CHOOSE the place that sends it so its YOUR responsability

you done nothing wrong and dont wanna pay for it,,,,,, why should he loose for a product YOU sent him,,,,, did he request the postman ???

sorry mate but you have to think if it was you who was being stumped like this too

would YOU give him hes money back if he posted the cash adn it got lost ????

what happened if the item was broken when he sent it back,,,,,, would you accept to pay the postage when you got your working goods back broken

as far as im aware you have the contract with royal mail not him so you loose mate

sorry but understand what hes saying

If it aint stated in the auction that insurance is included in the postage then if the guy was that bothered then he should have asked for it to be posted with insurance thats what i do or the way i see it if you dont and it get's broke then it's tuff

Hang on Ginge, im still trying to make sence of what you have posted. As for sending it to him, did request a post man or he wouldnt have got it.....
I sent it to the registered paypal address, which is the ONLY address i need to send it to but as a good will gesture i then sent it to the new address he requested. It then got damaged by parcel force, somthing he admited to. At his request i then aranged postage back to my address at a cost to myself. I am then going to refund him the full amount but he can fuk off for the postage back to mine.

And breath..............

mate im sorry but the prices most people dream of on ebay then send it out to the cheepest wankest 3rd world delivery driver is the reason why that statment is crap

if the guy dont offer insurance dont mean he should accept reciving fucked stuff

the bloke sending the stuff SHOULD make every effort that the stuff hes sending will be recived in top condition,,,,,,, would you accept the bloke paied by cheque and it then bounced cause he couldnt be arsed to look after his account,,,, would yopu accept him paying 4 weeks later cause he couldnt be arsed to check his ebay and pay when he was required

items on ebay should NEVER allow sellers to leave feed back after they get the blokes address imo,,,,, they should have to click " money recived" to leave feedback and get the blokes address as one of the things that fucks me off on ebay is the wankers who sell you stuff,,,,, you follow all your rules and get fucked about by the dole scrounging crack head not posting it or sending old shite i wouldnt donate to a charity shop then when YOU leave HONEST feed back about the cunt he then leaves LIES abouit you cause you told it how it is

ebay is a load of bollocks and just there to feed themselves cash and not care about the people using it

i can remember the FIRST time i used ebay,,,, i was a little younger then and maybe a little more rowdy but the cunt who i won a modem off cashed the cheque and never sent it,,,, i compalined to ebay who told me " sorry mate should have used paypal" so a pall of mine whos passed away now decided the ONLY way was to visit the tosser and collect my modem,,,,, his cousin STILL has the blokes PC to this date 266mhz pentium,,,, was cool in its day

its a grey area with the 2 postage things tbh

but if it got to him and it was broken,,,, its down to you and if your willing to accept a refund on the item you should bite on the postage to as would i bollox pay postage for a item that as sent to me so insecure it got broken in transit,,,,,,, and thats the only reason it broken cause it wasnt secure enough imo

please dont think im having a pop at you,,,,, just i can see his point and yours and YOU was the person who is responsible for this,,,,, he cant be as all he done was pay the money whilst you packed the item and YOU arranged the way of posting the item

i would say the extra cash you paied to redirect you should never of payed though,,,, so on that one maybe he should accept you was being fair and maybe he should too and work with you,,,,,

I do mate, but theres only so much wraping you can do!! it was in bubble wrap, in a box, then in aircraft masking paper, (thick as fook!!)
I had sent a few of the same item and no probs. The mongs that parcel force employ dropped it.

your pissed at now you got a item thats fooked and nothing to show for it,,,,, i woudl feel the same and what you are doing is venting that with a petty dispute about postage

when you sold the item you payed the extra for him as a gesture cause the money is sucha small amount,,,,,, now you are clouded with the fact you lost money on the broken part and feel someone should also share the loss,,,,,, even if its small

i bet you spend more money on breakfast than you will on the postage tommorow and prob earn 5 times as much cash in the time you spent thinking about whats happened

its a shite turn of the card mate,,,,,, but its soooo minor that only a woman would argue over such a matter

sorry if i got your back up,,, it wasnt ment to but was ment to explain another side of the storey

good luck what you decide and no matter what you decide,,,, its what you feel is right that counts not what i think

How's my statment crap
if your that bothered about an item getting lost/broke then ASK for insurance for the price it's worth and a tracking number and keep the email from the seller saying that they will send it that way. Then you have proff should they not send it the way you asked them to and something happens to it then ebay/paypal can do something about it.

mate people who sell stuff should arrange the appropriate delivery based on the item imo

but then im a person who checks things for what can happen and prefers to have a plan to avoid the situation rather than a " lets deal with that if it happens" situation

maybe thats why i dont sell shite on ebay perhaps

Ginge ! i know what your saying that's why everything i send is posted with insurance BUT if it's not stated in the auction then the buyer should ask for it and keep proff they have imo.
