Dump Valve was wierd this morning....
Got in the car this morning.... turned it on..... let it warm up while i scraped the ice of the windscreen!
Off i drove.... booted it a little... could hear a faint chatter noise
Thought hold up i got a dump valve!!! So along i go... booting it again.... started to hear faint chatter and faint tsssssh! Hmm.... so carry on until i get to a road i can boot it a bit more.... dump valve noise only!
How wierd is that?! That shouldnt happen should it?!

be worth checkin the diaphragm if it has one too, when it was frozen, it could of torn. . they got a habbit of splitting.

They aren't bad, they just aren't required for this application. Regardless of the marketing bumpf all you are paying for is a noise.

i absolutaly hate the rs turbo and cosworth dump valve wooosh, it has a really gay high pitch whistling.turbo cars are supposed to be fire breathing monsters that suck in small animals but as soon as you hear the weaping dump vavle the image goes straight down the shitter.
get the silly peice of shit of, dump valves leak when they're supposed to be closed which means it takes a little longer to come on full boost.
