What an absolute fooking embarassment to European football that was....
22 of the most cynical cheating footballers i have ever seen, each one trying to get the other booked or sent off, falling over for no reason, surrounding the ref at every opportunity
Drogba should be ashamed of himself aswell as every other player involved!!!
Supposed to be an exhibition of football by the two 'best' teams in Europe,
rant over

both halves were entertaining but for different reasons, the first was shit as you said, but as a neutral fan, entertaining and the second half they let the football do the talking.
Although Deco got a few martial art kicks towards the end haha!
I thought it was highly entertaining game but your point is valid about the ref, what a pile of sh*t

i completely agree it was entertaining but for the wrong reasons,in contrast in the Liverpool game Riise had his eye split open by a blatant head butt,he didn't even go to ground, just ran off the pitch to get it stitched up.
When i saw Drogba fall over with no-one near him i just thought to myself Why? he has talent but will never be liked cos he's a cheat
Messi goes down far too easily too,as does Deco...
In fact i was shocked that Essien stayed on his feet just before delivering the cross for the second goal, cos he could have been forgiven for going down under that challenge....
it's a funny old game

it was more like a free for all than a game of football imo
but thats football these days, its all about cheating the other team out of victory rather than playing them off the park
id love to see one of these "great" teams of today come up against don revie's leeds team of the 70's and see how they got on with diving then...
something tells me there'd be a few bruised ego's

why o why dont they bring video ref into football like rugby and its should defoo be a straight red for diving.
I also think they should incorperate the sin bin like rugby. arguing with the ref included as a reason to be in there.
footballers, bunch of spoilt pompous little bitches. Cant actually stand to watch it these days

i agree with the sin bin, i think that should be instead of yellow cards.. the more cards you get the longer you have to go in the sin bin...
and then if you get a red card you get banned for minimum 5 games, might stop the cheaters

i know football is their job but especially for national teams, such as england they shouldnt even get paid, so they actually play for pride and not just extra cash.
The same goes for the big stars, with the exception of a few, like Rooney who plays from teh heart they should all get their wages halfed, that would cut out all this diving shit

THEY WOULDNT FUCK ABOUT. THE TROUBLE IS THEY ARE PAYED FAR
TO MUCH AND THINK THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH ENYTHING

Defo a slower game back then, charging the goalkeeper must have been such fun, just think what Jens Lehmann would have been like back in the day
