Default FAO Any PSP Neville's

Looking for some help/advice please from anyone who can help.

We're thinking of buying our 7yr old son a PSP for chrimbo. One of my pals has one that has emulators on his so he can play all sorts of old games from PS2 to SNES. I think that would be a good idea for our son because then he can have loads of games instead of having to buy new ones all the time!

Anyway i think there are only certain versions that you can do this with? If so which? I take it you can't buy them new?

Has anyone else here done this? What size memory card do you need?

Anyone happen to be selling one?

cheers

chop

Downgrade your PSP to 1.5 and install the Devhook emulator onto it. This will allow you toemulate upto 2.73. The newer PSP's turn into a brick though.. So try and find a 2nd hand one to do this too.

Andy is correct, I downgraded my psp to 1.5 earlier this week

You can only downgrade PSP that DON'T have a ta-082 motherboard, see here for how to identify a ta-082 board.

Make sure you get DGen (Megadrive emulator), Road Rash 1/2/3 on the PSP is awsome

Cheers for the replies. I've been offline since tue

Anyways...

Se Cabbie/DJ
Do you recommend the DS over the PSP? My mrs wants to get the DS but i prefer the PSP because he could have loads of games just downloaded on to it!

Having looked about on ebay it seems you can buy PSP's version 1.5 brand new? Is this right?

jamz
is it specific versions that tend to have that motherboard?
Roadrash would be ace!

Oh and to store heaps of games what size of hard drive are you running? Where from and what cost?

Aahhhh wait a min...can you do a similar thing with the DS and download games to a memory stick? I know NOTHING about the DS! If this is the case do you need special version of software like you do with the PSP? Where do you d/load games from? Can you buy a job lot of them on dvd disc or anything like that?

Tell me anything you can please
