Default Which Inlet Manifold (Zetec Turbo)

Which is the best inlet manifold to use on my 2.0 zetec turbo??

I have a rover turbo one but would a EFI one be better??

Would a Rs 1800 one bolt striaght onto my 2.0 head??

The engine will have about 300bhp

Thanks Brian

Im sure some one like Danny B or Brom @ ZOO could fabricate you one which would then be built to suit your engine

The rover one will flow more than the other 2 you've mentioned. The EFi one is next to useless as the ports aren't even close to being lined up.

Use the rover inlet

was thinking the same

or is it because the rs1800 is a straight fit being from a zetec engine?

The EFI needed an adapter plate to fit the Zetec head and it wasn't matched very well

The RS1800 was a tuned version of the EFI manifold and mated straight to a zetec head.

Ahmed did a lot of flow tests comparing different inlet and the RS1800 was his choice

the ports are the same shape as the head therefore better flow

Iam using a Rover turbo inlet, ports are spot on, but the head has been welded and redrilled as i did not want to use a spacer plate.

But the XR2i 16V had a zetec head and EFI manifold, I'd always thought the RS1800 was special because of the size of the throttle housing and the insides where tuned to be a better match

No it will need modding to get it to fit.
