Default AA COCK UP

hi folks for for the last few days ive been posting about fuse box and electrical problems

The AA twice looked at my cosworth and came up with the idea that i had to remove the fuse box as there must have been a dodgy connection

great i thought, a hard job i didnt have time to do!!

Took it to my mate dan and he re checked the fuses, and one was blown!!

so 2 AA men who checked each fuse individually with a meter couldnt find one not working!!!!!!!!

am i entitled to any costs as the AA checked the fuse box and didnt find problem!!???

cheers

Luke

I wil say when my saff broke down, the guy was really helpful.

some twat had wired up the fuel pump to the windscreen wipers and was just a simple fuse

BUT the switch cut off had been bypassed in the boot, and he did say he shouldnt let me drive it as this can be classed as unroadworthy.

He rewired the pump through the correct circuit and sent me on my way.

So they aint all bad

surely replacing a fuse would have been a lot less costly than a tow somewhere, so it can't just be about the money. i think it's all about the stupidity and lack of training

They are complete tits - I needed a toe home a few months ago because my starter motor packed in - Paid Ł106 for a call out and a years fee and the fookers come out tryin to fix the car when i already knew the problem and then said i havent get Relay on my Subscription so they can't take me home unless i pay another Ł79. So i told them to fook off and am still in a dispute now tryin to get my money back.

They are a total joke and really dont care about you after they have your money!!!!

Phoning them is just pointless as they keep going around in circles, You have 2 write a letter to them via recorded delivery and get them to reply within 7 days of receipt. Ask them to put in writing what they are going to do about the matter as be straight to the point.

Good luck as they will still try pulling the whool over your eyes but do have to answer all questions you ask

i tried to get someone to sort a problem i had after i'd been towed home, but they said the usual "write the letter, we'll send out an inspector" yadda yadda
in the end i got nothing other than a sore ear and a bigger phone ill so i dind't bother

did send me a letter saying that the next years policy would be the same price etc afterwards though so it's not all bad

Costs for what? It hasn't cost you anything has it?
So they didnt find the fault, they dont claim to be autoelectricians, they just do what they can at the side of the road.

Dont get me wrong, im not the AA's biggest fan but I dont understand what costs you think you're entitled to?

err... what about cost of taken it to a garage and the money i had to pay them to fix it,

its not very hard to see if a bloody fuse has blown!!!!!!!!!!

even a dim-witted kid could see if a fuse has blown and the so called "experts" cant!!!

I am 100% entitled to costs, its a bloody fuse for f sake, notthing technical!
