My local ford parts department is the worst EVER the fucking queer that works there doesnt know his arse from his elbow!
All i wanted was some damn gaskets for my new head and a set of head bolts, a few new studs, nuts etc.
The fucking Cock knocker was trying to tell me that i didnt have a MFi rst i told him the year of the car (well engine anyway! ) and apparently all the RST were made with EFi after that date.. HMMMM i dont know of 1 fucking ERST that was made in 1989 that has fucking Efi management.. he was blatantly staring at an MFi inlet manifold (big brick! ) on microcat yet was INSISTING " thats and Efi manifold, look its telling me on my screen!"
i took said cock knocker out to my car opened the bonnet showed him the inlet on my MFi escort and said no it isnt!
Guess what he still didnt believe me and said i must be mistaken!

Ive got to dealers near me Dovercorts in Colchester, who are the biggest wankers evers, you carnt even park there most of the time.

Then theres John Groses in Ipswich, theres an old boy who works there and he is proper proper helpfull!

I think everyone on here thinks there local department are the worst.

My friend wanted a rear quarter light for a Mondeo, she was transferred 18 times!!! Before she got a price. Since then they've attempted to fit a new one twice and both times the part has been bent, more like they bent it.

The next nearest ford department is about 20 miles away... i may actually drive there next time!

i know i phoned up today to get a price on the block to oil pipe adapter on a 2wd cos, and after 15mins of trying to explain he says they dont sell them, but if i buy the whole pipe i will get one on it, they want Ł75 for the fooikn pipe i can get one from burton for Ł32 so Ł43 for a fookin adapter

Mine are fucking lame too, as is the Nissan parts place (i can go there an order a R32GTR VSpec2 badge or even a N1 block if i liked no prob even tho they only made 1000 of em and never sold in the UK, Nissan still make bits for old rare fast cars, unlike ford ) but theyve never even seen one before so i have to do it all for em

Renault used to be good tho, even lil bits for the carb n stuff i could get no bother for my GTTs.

These days i just turn their monitors around, get the mouse off em, and do it myself, useless bastards

My local is good, well one bloke there is sound, the other is a moody coont who again knows fook all.... "oh I know we have them in stock"....goes and has a look...."no mate will have to order them got none" dippy coont

I do find tho if I dont go armed with a finis code I either:

a. stand there for about 20 minutes before they can get the part up I need (if correct)

or

b. As Steve says, lean over the counter and pretty much end up looking myself

Apart from that, they usually have everything actually in stock! and if they dont have it I can go and collect it the next morning!

This guy told me that inlet manifold studs/nuts werent available for the RST anymore... i didnt believe him! but i took his work for it and thought fuck it, ill get out of the 3 head i have at home! some are bound to be east to get out!

But maybe its to do with the age of the car some times. I can get all my bits N/P
and the guys there are gr8 very helpful.

But my mates got an RST S2 and hes had problems???????

i have had a few axes to grind with the main delaer near me, (ocean that splits europe and usa apart) ford, apparently an escort cosworth has a 1.6l engine in it and 5 injectors, (one for cold starting) the top man on the parts desk says

having microcat yourself is a godsend, phone them up and order the part you need, not the part they think you need.

I got it lucky as one of my mates is the manager of the ford parts dept in Glasgow, always get the right stuff and he has even found some obsolete bits and bobs for me
