Engine is running
phil, you probably have the same spec engine as the one i've just got.
and mark said it will run a 35 quite happily, so u havent been told miss-info by mark.
When has mark even done that?
you know full well he hasnt

..yes Rod is being senile as it aint a 400bhp engine as i beleive Rhys asked for a 550plus capable one....
Rods is obviously far higher spec never said it wasnt
I merely said the pistons were the same as Rods..maybe in a previous engine?I dont know or same material/make...TBH Cossie Racing pistons are capable of that power also...so the cp's dont turn me on

It is always interesting to read when u guys argue about who has the most experience and knowlege in cossie engines, and which one makes the most power
Why is it that every time there is an engine that isen`t that MASSIVE spec`d then it can`t produce so much power?
Almost everyone knows that it is up to head/cams/intake/exhaust/turbo if it makes big power(500+), why argue about it, let them show some results before you tare them appart

...its a UK snobbery thing
Phils engine uses the same make pistons as Rods and materal but the machining from the blank is diff,
Phils engine will also make 550+hp with the right inlet and may get close to 600hp at 2.5bar, The only thing I would like to change is the Rods for safety.

Thanks for clearing that up!......I am not too concerned at the Rods as Julian Godfrey says 600bhp is ok..after this they need shot peening..in his experience at power levels over 700bhp he has never seen one let go..BUT in his own engines they are changed to higher spec..which is understandable if you have to warranty it!..Make everything as strong as poss....
So hopefully they will hold out on a road car....

But mine and Chips point is that yours is NOT a massive spec engine like you claimed in anyone other than your own eyes!
Is it a good spec? yes definately
