Default Widest wheels able to fit 3 door Cosworth??

Whats the widest wheels you can put on a 3 door Cosworth? NOT including thundersaloon type widebody conversions. I have already trimmed and rolled back the arches and currently have 8" on the front and back. Looking with the naked eye I reckon 8.5" on the front and at least 9" on the rear may fit. Am I looney for thinking of going any bigger? (thinking of 18s)

Has anyone tried putting these sizes on a 3 door yet?

You can get 10s on the rear without major work, and the GrpA RS500s did too.

If you can get 13inch wide minus thirteen offset rims on an S13 withoiut a wide arch kit you damn well can get what you like on a 3door with its big arch extentions!

Or stick with high offset 8x17s like everyone does, as it just looks fab

Hey Ryan,

how much work was needed to fit the 8.25" at the front?

Your confident that a 9" will fit on the rear?

Stavros,

I know what you mean, cause of the silly offsets that most Sierras have, the majority of jap RWD cars have the advantage of great looking wheels with awesome dish (mmmm dish!)

vic.

my arches are no more front or rear, the kit had to be heavily trimmed aswell.

But was done by a pro, so it all looks factory.

The rears, when trimmed alot the 2 skin seperate, so need to be gusseted.

8.25" goes on the front with the correct top mount, and tca setup.

I had 9" rims all round on this one, could have got 10's on the back without any problems . The front arches and kit were trimmed very heavily , mainly because of the castor i ran on it interfering with the front of the arch and the bumper even .

This shows a bit better on another car what trimming can be done if you need to .
