Default prepared my mk1 escort for MOT

just been preparing my old mk1 for an MOT getting ready to sell it.

just a few small jobs needed doing, but now it's ready.

here's a few small pics of it, what do you think? needs a little finishing, but very solid car, and the a/c is a treat on days like these

Is that double wishbon4e rear suspension? Where hell that come from?

Id DIY matt black kit before you sell it, few hours work, less than 50quid spent, and makes it look a WHOLE lot more attractive to sellers than at mo!

just a 7" diff, think a 9" would be overkill for 130 bhp pinto

will be bringing it down in a couple of weeks, so might make the august meet if not sold by then

and you're right, a cossie lump would go in well, even got a big transmission tunnel for the t5

haven't actually driven it much, except from basingstoke up to norfolk 5 years ago when i just finished putting it together. feels really planted though, with the car doint the steering that you want, rather than feeling like the solid axle is steering the car sometimes. also grips better in the bends, as they tyres at a much better angle to the road, and the handling can be tuned with the camber and toe unlike a solid axle.

going for a quick spin in it after lunch, will be mental after all these years
