Default blue powder on battery

mums got a nissan micra and she couldn't get it to start yesterday at work she got it bumped started got it home me dad found all this blue powder jizz over the positive connection any ideas chums

Funny, my old dear has a Nissan Prairie, which the battery is dead on, so I took it off to charge it and there is blue/white powder jizz all over the positive terminal too lol....

odd one

it's normally just white crusty crap u can wire brush off
then put a good coat of light grease on the terminals

saw a film with a use for the blue/white powdery jizz off of a battery!!!

sell it to the smackheads... has lethal consequences though!!??!

sorry that was kind of off topic!!

scrape it off charge it up grease it up check the charging voltage!!!

It's normal for this to build up on vehicles that are not serviced properly. If it had had the battery terminals greased it wouldn't have built up.

Boil a kettle full of water and pour it over the terminal then scrub the rest off with a wire brush. Hopefully the terminal won't have corroded to much. Grease the terminal afterwards.
