Default Escort Cossie advice

Seen this for sale http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/86533.htm

But I'm also in the process of buying a house so won't have an abundance of spare cash. Will an Escort Cossie bleed me dry in terms of repair/maintainance bills (will only be used at weekends) or am I better off putting my money somewhere "safer" (and less exciting) such as a bmw 330 cab?

Looks nice that mate - as for them bleeding you dry, I used my Esc Cos everyday when I had one and to be fair, it wasn't so bad......I think in 18 months it was mainly wear and tear, brakes, CV boot - ummmm......there will be more but I can't remember. All in all - look safter them and usually, they'll look after you.
