Interesting reading the comments on comparing RS cars with Ferrari's. If you have the cash you buy the Ferrari for more than jsut top speed and 0-100 times.
There's style, handling, noise, the driving experience, tactility etc etc.
I used to love my S2 and did well racing an F355 up to about 90 but I'd prefer a thoroughbred sports car over a tuned hot hatch anyday - cash allowing of course.

i cant help but feel that everyone on here whos slagged off the fords saying they wouldnt keep up HAVENT ACTUALLY EVER HAD A RACE WITH A FERRARI!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just cos it looks fast,sounds fast and is expected to be eeerrrrrrr fast doesnt mean it is...............BECAUSE THEIR NOT (most of them)

Love the comment about when have ferrari ever enter TOTB - why would they want to when they do pretty good at the sharp end of F1 and sportscar racing!
The other comment about a Nova doing the 1/4 mile and beating a Ferrari is hysterical!! I'd like to see how the Nova would do against the Ferrari round the Nurburgring or on a twisting B road.
And lets not even go there about the numbe rof people on here over 20yrs old who'd be seen dead in a Nova!

this aint ever goin to be agreed on end of the day u could well beat any car out there because if the person driving the "super car" cant drive for shite then ur goin to beat them lol, i cant see how u can slate people who tell you of thee scalps as they dont know how the other person is driving ie hard, if there any good, or if they can actually even be bothered
but all this ford is the best bollocks people do need to wake up id like to see some of these fords race some m3's cls, and the new audi rs4 or a rs6 there not even super cars and there fookin quick for standard. and ripping down a straight m or a road aint goin to prove who has th best car, just proves who has more bottle, track days will only prove wat car is better.
on the pic post outt of the ferarri or the escos id have the escos coz i love th looks of it soo much more, but id never have a ferrari and it aint coz i tjink there shite because there not there awesome but im goin to blow loadsa money on a super car it would be two different extremes id have ford gt40 and a aston db9 job done

Speaking from experiance, I would say my 350bhp 2wd sapp felt quicker then my F355 does, But in saying that, driving a Ferrari is a brilliant experiance, sadly for some reason everybody wants to show you up or try to impress you. It only takes a second for a accident to happen, hence why I would always move over in that situation.

we are getting way off again.it wasnt mentioned that they were doing a track.i hate novas myself(sorry if that offends any owners on here)but i respect anything fast and i have to say some are extremley fast.and do beat em down the quarter.what about last years cenral day at the pod? a ferrari 360and lambo gallardo turned up for fun and both got killed down the quarter by a mini! ok so it had a 250bhp rst engine in the back with 100 shot of nos,but that still beat em.power to weight!

oh and that nova turbo might be quicker on qtrs bet its a good job they didnt go round a track as the nova would have GOT SPANKED!!!! around the track

The other comment about a Nova doing the 1/4 mile and beating a Ferrari is hysterical!! I'd like to see how the Nova would do against the Ferrari round the Nurburgring or on a twisting B road.
And lets not even go there about the numbe rof people on here over 20yrs old who'd be seen dead in a Nova!
dont no what went wrong with that 1! if they handle so good! they are a fiat/alfa romeo been done up! and as for the nova runnin a faster 1/4 mile than ferrari is true! ferrari's are for sad old men with nothin better to do than go doggin

I hate Nova's. And i Love Ferrari's But, a well sorted Nova in engineering terms is comparable to a Ferrari imo. I was on track at croft in an RS1600i in experts group, and it was pretty much quicker than everything. With just 200hp.....

ill have a look someone said the magnex sounds nice and fits well, my scorpion just seems to have nothing wrong just sits funny like its not the correct exhaust lol

Quick they may be, but when was the last time you saw a "well-engineered" Nova?
Even those C20LET engined ones, which are fast as fuck, aren't well engineered, by the basis of weight distribution etc.....
Sure, I've raced on at the Pod, and it kept with my saff, and I've seen em go well on circuit, but there is no comparison with a Ferrari in any way shape, or form...... unless hitting the crack pipe is your new hobby

Performance wise, rememeber the 500bhp E60 M5 v F430 test? A Gorilla driving the M5 could keep up in a straight line with the Ferrari, however round a track the M5 was history.

I agree with the weight distribution. But i've seen them lap a track pretty dam well. It's lighter than a ferrari - and this is easily the most important metric when you are talking about peformance. Sure, it doesn't look and sound as good - but i don't think anyone would argue that point. Fwd isn't an issue either, certainly one that can't be worked around. The fact that a std focus RS, over 100hp down on an E46 with "superior" RWD is testamant to this.
