i get the same feeling about pulsars to be honest im suprised that it was even between the escorts and fez......
you say that yours was in the 15's but 5 sec 1600 recorded 13.1, 13.3 and 13.4.

remember,escorts do weight more so its all about that power to weight thing mate..............how do you think r5 gtts get such good qtr mile times...power isnt everything at the pod. you need the right mix of weight,clutch control ,power and torque.
also it helps that he drives like a complete animal behind the wheel.....

Im sure in your own little world this Fez is a world beater, but believe me it aint fast or even remotely so. Paul & Sunny have double that Power in a Fiesta. A 350bhp Cossies is as slow as shit so not much of a yardstick really.
If you want to see Fast 'Click below' It was staged so both trying. The Escort has over 400bhp. The Cossie in front around 700bhp, it now has over 900bhp.

the difference is mate,HE BUILT HIS FEZ HIMSELF....AND HE DRIVES HIS OWN FEZ!!!!!!!!also when he drives his own car its not permanently hooked up to a lap top as its not reliable,and yeah mate,fairplay,it does 200mph.......but othercars cappable of that speed dont need to have pipes jammed up their exhaust......

i think you will find thats not quite true

for what it's worth, telling someone your car has upwards of 900 bhp and does more than 200 mph is more impressive than telling someone you own a fiesta

as far as the theories of why certain publications decide to highlight certain cars, well, thats up to the editors, and the only way you are going to change that is to stop buying the mags

i have my own views on th epeole concerend, and i will say that several other people i have spoken to hold similar views, but this is just me talking rather than the millons who buy the mags or post here, so what can i do to change that?

My car was built by me, the Engine by M.A.Developments, The Nitrous install, all wiring & underbonnet/boot install is my work. Im an engineer with 40 years expierience. We are called the dream team an Aero engineer with a proven Top Tuner.
The checking of the air/Fuel during the run insures we can absolutely thrash it run after run & not worry. We could plug into the exhaust plug under the Bonnet but its easier to fit in the pipe'
26 Top speed runs to date.

Reached the Drag Final of totb the only Cossie ever to do that.
Was Favourite RWD last year but with around 800bhp my Driveshaft gave up 1st run. Have entered 2 maybe 3 events in September so Totb was non starter & im not really interested anywayMy car has all the kit including Ledas , Rear Beam, Chassis connecting bars, Cage etc it would make a fine Track car with a change in Springs but I drive it to work so it will never be used as a track car.
Only ever done 1 qtr at a Big Spec. Gearing was for 200mph & tyres at 40psi just after the first 200mph run. 11.5 @138 was a rwd record at the time although TIB as edged a 11.43 with a proper 1/4 mile car. Would run in the high 10's if we changed Tyres/gearing.

Right stuff, my Pulsar with slight weight saving weighs 1160kg on the road and has 275-280ish bhp. On the strip it weighs 1130kg. (less soon) Full weight it was 1240kg.

NIL7717, what times does your cossie do as I've gone up against lots of car with more power than me and beat them.

My pulsar can hit 60 in 3.7 and do the 1/4 in 12.4 But I got beaten (just ) by a Ferrari 360 a few months back and Could easily match the 355 (on a low speed blast) that tried it on the last week.
