For the record though, a 308 or a escos? i'd honestly rather have a escos, a 308 is the only 'rarri i've worked on and to be honest it was a shit box with a awful driving position, yes it sounded lovely, yes it got alot of looks & yes it's a ferrari at the end of the day which will look more classy than any escos any day of the week. BUT in my opinion the 308 is such a bad car in every other way i just wouldn't want one, ever.

However, if i had the moeny to buy a new ferrari i would, i wouldn't be at home making choices between a nova/rst or a ferrari, it's a complete no brainer.

Ok the rst/nova/frs might be quicker but it's not always about whats faster is it.

 

oh and id thought id meantion,his dad has a 350bhp rwd saff (so he knows the difference between torque steer, and a rear wheel drives torque causing the rears to spin and rear end step out......which you obviously dont

His boss at his old job was minted and the boss's 20 yr old son owned a RUF 996 turbo which had 550bhp and 760lb torque. SO IM SURE he knows what proper torque is................

Frankly!! I cant handle the Power neither can Mark its Bloody hard work to drive on the gas, its 900bhp /750ft-lb. Of the 12 Fastest runs ever in a Cosworth I have done 5. Missed holding the record myself by .5mph . Second person past 200mph in a Cossie & proud of it. My son will be the next past 200mph & I will be proud of that as well. I trust that at 61 you will still be doing 200+ runs as I am & will take your son along as well. Im a proud dad .
The E30 m3 has Iconic status amongst the m3 cars.

THE supra was not limited,they BOTH gunned it from the lights,and he could not shake the fez for shit. IT was 480bhp because it was our mate who had owned it,and had recently rolling roaded it pryer the race. Only when they hit just over one 130 did the supra start making any ground.

He raced his dads stg3 saff,and Was COMFORTABLY pulligng from it on the motorway.He MUNCHED M3's and EVERYTHING HE EVER RACED!!!!!! Thats why he said his car was faster..BECAUSE HE WAS TELLING THE TRUTH!!!!!! That supra was the only thing that ever gave him a run for his money!!!!!!!!

Oh,and theres a 1900 grey fez with bbs rims,thats fully worked,bajoo mapped running 24psi and touching 280bhp. He had a go with that,AND MADE IT LOOK SILLY...........I was witness to this. AND he was only holding 16psi at the time.

i feel people have taken him the wrong way (not that he actually cares,cos he knows what he's driven,and what his fez went like)

ive had a bailey built 250bhp esc rst a pulsar gtir at 280bhp and a pug 205 mi-16 at 172bhp and now run a 350bhp 4x4 and to be honest ive raced loads in all of em and my cos is the quickest.and i stuggle with the supra from standing at that power!and my escort would just spin the wheels from standing.it was fast on a motorway but not off the mark! im not denying the fez is quick but not enough to do a supra with that power.

the main topic has drifted over to the basics of "why would you drive a ferrari when my nova is quicker" and the answer seems to be "because you can't pull up to a hotel in a nova and expect them not to be calling the police to get rid of you"

there are plenty of doubters out there, and unless you have a bit of paper saying you've done the speeds and have produced the power, all it's going to be is pub talk

i had the same when i had my estate and no on believed it could do the speeds it did "because it's not geared to go that fast" but a quick trip up the runway at alconbury saw 154 mph on the readout and after that the topic was never discussed again

until you have a bit of paper stating what your car/engine is capable of doing (prooven rather than "i raced my mate on his mountain bike with my goped and he beat me") you won't get anyone taking you seriously

and besides, if he's not got the car anymore then it's not even worth telling us about someone else cars they haven't got really is it
if it was your own car then perhaps it would be worth writing up what you had done to it

Ive never been in a car like it,it was offensive!!! scared the shit out of everyone who got in it. it was impossive to plant the go pedal with one hand on the steering wheel........It required full concentration........THATS WHY HE SAID HE DIDNT GET TH SAME BUZZ WITH THE OTHERS.......as they were safe.They were alot more solid,and smooth compared to the fez.
All the cars that have been meantioned so far are rwd or 4wd!!!!!!,They will obviously drive different to a fwd wont they??????THats why its a different buzz...

right,if you had driven a fiesta rst with the same power as your escort,you would have been amazed how different the two cars feel.A escort weighs over 100 kg's over the fez,and this makes a massive difference......more than you would believe....
ive had both and the difference is quite clear....
i owned a 210 bhp escort and had a tear up with another mate of mines fez rst,he was running 167bhp.He got in front from the start and i didnt start realing him in till over 90mph!!!!!!i felt a little embarresd to say the least,and taht proved to me about weight advantages
if my friends fiesta was 240-250 bhp and weighed around 1100 kg,that is quite a way over 210bhp per ton.

if youve got a pulsar running 280 bhp,but weighs around 1450KG,then thats under 200bhp per ton

weight pays a massive part in a cars performance.also 4wd's lose alot of bhp through the transmission,unlike fwds who only have to find a way of getting traction.he sorted this,and found a way of launching hard with minimal wheelspin.....

finally,i cant see how your 4wd could struggle with a rwd supra off the mark???? if you launch hard,youve got alot less chance of wheelspin compared to rwd supras,but when you get going,the 4wd transmission will slow you down and the supra would reel you in.

 

a supra of that power will give me a run cos it has more bhp and torque and fat rear tyres.it is a close run thing but i can just keep level.
my pulsar was only good to 60 after that my escort killed it but a pulsar isnt made for mid or top end imo.i raced a few fezzies with similar power to my escort and i have to say it was even all the way.ive never said your mates werent fast i actually like the look too,but having had expeirience of racing variuos cars in various cars i know when im beat.and my escort wouldve have been beat by my saff.the escort was doing 15,s at the pod and the saff low 13,s which couldve been knocked down a bit in the right conditions
