agreed, but atleast mine was sorted in the end and it didn't cost me loads. As I say Clint was a huge amount of my problems. (Don't want to start the Clint debate again)

As I said I'm shocked. You hear the odd bad thing but think it's a one off or that it's not his fault but so many people!

Ditto Ricky really shame didnt now you were in trouble getting from the stn and shit, Im only down the road too ... Nevermind

Mark appears to be a complete and utter twat, I have reserved judgement on him in the past, as some people swore by him, and I personally have had no experience with him,.... What an absolute arshole pure and simple, come on Mark, tell me Im wrong?? You just KNOW he will read this at some stage...

No doubt he'll be cracking on in Ireland changing the odd H/G on the occasional tractor or summat ..... preob bugger that up too...

WTF?

I haven't, I've just never had any major problems that he hasn't sorted out.

I've no idea what cars/work he does any more than I would any other company. I just happen to used to get my car done there.

I was a little annoyed at that yes but also annoyed EA didn't do a simple bore leakage test either! Which would have shown valve #2 wasn't seating.

He kind of made up for it as he put in loads of time for nothing and trailered me up to 5FRST Vs 5ERST which cost him a days work.

You live and learn and as my sig now says.....

Jon i not having a go m8, i was just asking why after all the problem you have had with your car and then the issue with jims car you always stood up for him on here.

TBH it sounds like BSW / Mark should be banned from holding a spanner near any car going on the issues that people have had with him and his workmanship

Lets be honest. If it had been any other car than Jim's it would have been a different story.

I MAY have been mark's fault I wouldn't know BUT jims car was a mess and some of the bits I heard about Jim knowing about loose wires led me to think that it wasn't really Mark's fault.

and sorry andy - I thought you were making out like I knew everything all along and covered it up..

PMSL @ the cowboy! VERY TRUE!

I put my trust in this areshole believed the things he was sayin and feel totally fuckin robbed! He lies, bullshits and body swerves any probs that come up.

Jim G, I dont fancy your chances of gettin owt of him, hes gonna dissapear in Ireland somewhere

Paul J, I know what your sayin mate the list I could write down could go on forever I also had issues with fueling, well a fuel pump which was apparently of a Bently cus a cossie one which I asked for couldnt supply enough fuel . He bodged this pump up with a bit of rubber hose which split around five times causing me breakdowns whilst runnin it in, leavin me to get towed, jack the car up, drop the fuel tank and try different types of hose! Finally he came and fetched it cus I was so fucked off with havin to spend my spare time keep repeating this job getting covered in grease and fuel and then wonderin where I'd break down next! God knows if the bit hes put on this time will last. Another job that should have been rectified.

Now I've got another new build but how am I ever gonna feel safe/confident of bootin the fucker!! He recons he got some WRC focus rods for it this time from bluesprint, so my 600 odd quids worth of Burtons steel rods have fooked off!

When I first looked into havin the work done I was given two names, Mark @ BSW and Ian Howell, looks like I picked the wrong bloke! Mark told me not to bother with Ian cus he work for the waterboard or sommat and he was just a hobby mechanic!!!

Hes made me look like a twat to my family and friends too, me keep tellin em that all that dollar was worth it and it'll be back soon. I've been expectin it back every couple of weeks for the last 18 months

Cheers for the response folks, I allmost fucked him off last time I got the car back cus I couldnt be arsed to be without it for months, but couldnt afford to take it to anyone else so let him have it back for final mapping where it let go on the rollers after his mechanic took it there (Mark was on a weeks holiday) ! That was about a year ago, rebuilt it, I run it in, broke down on me again (cant remember why that time) he came and fetched it, loads more probs, mapping finished, I pick it up with the turbo makin a stupid whooping sound break down at M keynes turbo let go big style, another wasted day for me and my mate who took me down there, 2 lots of fuel for mine and mates car, wasted insurance, payed knobhead for more work dumped the car in buspark, he fetched yet again, sent him this mail;

Ello Mark.

Typical aint it!!

We did try to jump start the car to try and get it of the hard shoulder!

Whether or not the ecu got shorted out, who knows?! Its a possibility, the looms a bit of a bodge though really, the main connection to the ecu looks exactly the same as when the last garage did it. I thought I payed for a new loom? The ecu was in a plastic bag though.

If the fuse box is knakered, I do have another here, or let us know what its gonna cost to repair.

I really need to know if the car is going to work when the ecu is repaired though because I'm rapidly loosing my rag with it all.

I think I've been pretty patient and reasonable up to now, but I'm not prepared to keep loosing money on something I've not even used, when really it should have been been ready a long time ago.

The car wasnt ready for me to collect with the turbo making the noises that it was.(whistleing/whooping sound) Also the moment we hit traffic the temp rose to 110 and was still rising when I switched it off and waited for the traffic to clear.(Fan on) I was told the temps were fine with the fan on?

The water hose next to the alternator is also still rubbing and will cause me yet another breakdown if not remedied. The car also wants to cut out at idle with the fan on so more than likely that alternator you repaired is still not doing its job. (had new battery) ACT gauge, fuel gauge etc... State of drivers seat and doorcard, bonnet wrong colour......

You must be getting just as pissed off as I am with the car. I've handed over a fair amount of cash and appreciate that you've worked hard on it and gone out of your way a few times to sort out problems, but it still isnt ready/reliable even though its had all the parts that it should have.

I hope we can resolve this, you must be able to see my point of view? I just want some use out of the car!!

I know time is money but just half hours drivin it in traffic/normal conditions and investigating the turbo noise could have saved us both a lot of hassle and grief.

Give us a shout or an e-mail and let us know what were gonna do about it.

Cheers, Jim.

So basically its been a nightmare start to finish

Washed all the shit grease and grime off the car this mornin to find that whoever painted the bonnet the right colour this time didnt spray the fuckin bonnet vents
Imperial blue bonnet with green vents, hhmmm nice! Oh and the indicator he glued back on has fell off somewhere too!

Right, recon I migh go n get pissed now!!

Please lets hear some more BSW horror stories so I dont feel as bad!

jon/gary i'd be glad to talk you through a lot of things if you would wish to set the story straight... and as you know ive always wanted to hear the other side of the (constantly changing) story

admitedly i could lie to you, but im not that kind of bloke as others can testify. Also there are a few very respected members of the community who are 100% in the know, but i beleive they'd rather stay out of it to avoid a big war on the BB+Reallife

Jim - I am really sorry to hear about this and feel for you mate. Hundreds of people go through the same shit from the same tuners every year. I can't believe that they're seriously still in business. If there is anything I can do to help...let us know.

Seems everything I've heard from BSW's garage has been a sad story.

Hope you get everything sorted mate....would be a great shame to break it. Don't let these people discourage you. Forget the past and look into the future mate.

Bests - Sunny.

Cheers dude, I'm gonna take a couple of weeks and see how I feel about it then. At the mo I've lost all interest. I dont know what its future is now though cus I cant afford to throw any more money at it.

If I do keep it it'll deffo be goin to someone who knows (proven) what their doin and hopefully may be able to salvage some of the work.

Obviously concerned that the engine thats in it now might just be thrown together with shit he had left over.

Dont spose any one knows what genuine wrc focus rods look like?? I'll see If I can sneak a look when it next throws one out the block!

Nice one sunny if I do get someone to check it over I'll get piccies.

Decided to go get a new battery today, bolted it on and tried firin it up. Starter just clicking, twated it a few times with a torque wrench and it started. Very lumpy tho, after about 5 mins it started gettin a bit smoother so took it for a drive. Went scrappers to get two indicators and tried to put some miles on it, working ok for a good hour then for no apparent reason it just cut out on me in the same style it did on thursday night. Luckily rollin down a hill at the time, tried to bump it but no joy. Managed to roll into a pub carpark where I try to work out whats fucked up this time.

First thought was that shitty fuel pump bodged pipe had split again, but if you pinch the fuel line goin to the fuel rail it pushes out, so pressumably its got fuel, checked the shitty maze of wires but everything seems connected. Called mate who came with jump leads, tried that no joy. Turns over but wont fire.

Got it towed home yet again and now I'm left scratching my head.

Any one got any ideas what I can check/ look for? I know its a bit hard without seein the maze of cables and connectors its got, but its gotta be summat simple.

who should I take it to to for sortin it out?? Ian Howell obviously knows what he's doin but doesnt he just build the engines and send customers to grove?? Gotta be someone in the midlands that can help.

My heads sayin fuck it off but when I look at it and had half hours cruisin earlier with the lid off my heart says carry on!

If it isn't mapped properly mate then it could be various other things. Then again without someone who really knows what he's talking about (instead of the tuner rip off crew) taking a proper look at everything it could be anything.

Who mapped it...BSW? I hope the answer isn't yes.....going by the rest of their work I wouldnt be surprised if that had something to do with it.

To be honest mate regarding the WRC rods I would be very surprised if they were (not saying that they're not) however they are VERY rare and very expensive.

Finally, no point trying to guess whats wrong as you will drive yourself crazy until you get everything looked at properly by a proper tuner.

Best of luck

Thanks - Sunny.

DOES ANYBODY KNOW ANYONE AT BLUESPRIPNT OR HAVE CONTACT DETAILS SO I CAN TRY AND FIND OUT WETHER CUNTY'BOLLOCKS DID GET WRC RODS OR WETHER HE JUST LOBBED IN STANDARD ZETEC UNS.

Who do you recommend sunny?? Ian H??

Cheers for your help.
