Default Anyone know about notice periods/working for an agency??

Basically I may have a new job, althought not deffo yet. The agency fellow has, with an attitude I might add, assured me my notice period is 4 weeks.

2 things..... 1. Surely if they are the ones paying me, then I work for the agency here and as such should give my workplace one week's notice but give the agency the full 4 weeks if they insist on it, thereby ending up in a situation where I leave the job but still serve a full notice period to the company??

2. I never sent back my contract..... They only have a signed photocopy, does this help me in any way if the above is not the case?

Cheers

Paid weekly?

Weeks notice....

Paid Monthly.....Months notice

Unless you have a contract....it doesnt matter if you havent signed it or sent it back....by starting work you have agreed to it's terms and conditions

sometimes we had to call up ebery morning to see if there was work available
fook off when you want to, and if you feel like it, just give them a few days nitice
it's only polite

what does your contract say ffs

if they have a peice of paper saying 4 weeks then youre bound to it.

if they dont, just fuck off and dont tell them shit

i doubt itll be 4 week tho, as a temp they want to be able to get rid of you ASAP and the notice period works both ways...
