Basically I may have a new job, althought not deffo yet. The agency fellow has, with an attitude I might add, assured me my notice period is 4 weeks.
2 things..... 1. Surely if they are the ones paying me, then I work for the agency here and as such should give my workplace one week's notice but give the agency the full 4 weeks if they insist on it, thereby ending up in a situation where I leave the job but still serve a full notice period to the company??
2. I never sent back my contract..... They only have a signed photocopy, does this help me in any way if the above is not the case?
Cheers

Paid weekly?
Weeks notice....
Paid Monthly.....Months notice
Unless you have a contract....it doesnt matter if you havent signed it or sent it back....by starting work you have agreed to it's terms and conditions

ive been doing agency work for over 4 years now and ive still not meet a honest agency

read your terms of engagement it will tell you all you need to know, your employer can pay you off without a days notice.....your entitled to do the same

what does your contract say ffs ![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)
if they have a peice of paper saying 4 weeks then youre bound to it.
if they dont, just fuck off and dont tell them shit![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)
i doubt itll be 4 week tho, as a temp they want to be able to get rid of you ASAP and the notice period works both ways...
