Basically to cut a long story short my old man had a run in with a guy.Bloke cut him up twice so my old man lost it followed him into a petrol station dragged him out of his car and told him his life story,didnt hit him or anything,much to my surprise

Old bill turned up earlier and now the guy is doing him for "criminal assault"

Just wondered what he will get, hes never been in trouble before

i'm sure someone will fess up to it, but there's the story from this end

i've been done for abh (actually bodyly harm) when i was a kid
it's ben a while but they said it was beacuse there was a bit of damage to the other guy otherwise it would have been gbh (grevious bodily harm)

so it seems that they might be doing your old man for common assult rather than criminal assult because there hasn't been any brusing or visable damage to the other party involved

caution and a fine plus slap on the wrist is the most likely outcome

i got punched by a drunk in a petrol station and thats what plod charged him with so if the rules are the same.....................

I have been cautioned for criminal assault, years ago i must add

Always had 2 pikey lads in a Nova follow me in my first car (mini 1380) whenever they saw me, giving me the wanker sign and sticking the finger up then try and race me in their Nova SR , they used to do it all the time and i ignored it for so long but once they did it in town with me and my mate in the car, traffic stopped, still giving it, so me and my mate got out and gave them a pasting, i was taken to a police station the next morning after being grassed up and cautioned

If he's not been in bother before he wont even get a fine mate.

Just a slap on the wrist and a caution wich will stay on his record for 5 years and as long as he stays out of bother for the 5 years then his slate is wiped clean..

i did that to a van driver a few months back and got a 5 year caution for assault and criminal damage(i punched his windscreen through)

bloddy hell we tried smashing up a mates old cat before it went to the scrap year, we were throuwing rocks at it and all sorts and couldn't smash the winscreen.

I had never been in trouble before and i got 3 yrs but had it cut to 18months inside plus 6mths tagged for criminal damage plus assault.

4 yrs ago got kicked off on the lad punched me but because i hit him with me agv helmet (cracked the fucker aswell ) an give him a punch or 3 i got abh with a think first and a years probation.

he will need interviewing about it, and then if theres no witnesses, its word on word and will probably be chucked out at the station without it reaching court
