Just fitted my SPA dual oil pressure/oil temp gauge and was happy with it until i tried to read the display at night Unless the gauge is positioned directly in front of me i can barely read it as the contrast between the digits and the background is shite Have searched the menu to find a contrast adjustment and there doesn't seem to be one! I have found the options to adjust the back light colour and the brightness of that but nothing else.
Anyone tell me if there is a contrast adjustment or are these gauges an expensive waste of time

I have same prob Spadge - my gauges are in the centre vents on the Saph.

It's just the angle you have them- mine needed tilting backwards by a few degrees - prob solved.

If I look down on the dash from the windscreen I can read them really easily, but sat in seat they look 'dim'.

try tilting them, it's all you can do

Ok guys it does say they must be positioned level with the driver but a simple contrast adjustment would have solved that problem

Mine are fine but they both sit where the clock usually is on a saff so they are slightly lower. Ive heard lots of horror stories about these gauges but touch wood mine have been fine
I may have a spare manual lying around i can try and find for you or photocopy mine if your interested

cheers steve

Thanks for the offer of the manual mate but i have it on a word document already

Will try angling them down a fraction tomorrow and if that doesn't work will move them to somewhere else!
