same with dog food mate, my mum gets up early to do some stuff and she gets the dog food out and ready for when she has breakfast so she can feed him at the same time, and when i come downstairs in the morning it bloody reeks

My boy only eats dried food - Iams - so no smell he doesn't like wet stuuf, put salmon down and he turns his nose up at it.

Mine won't eat supermarkets own brands and will only eat the fish variety pouches pmsl but in pouches it don't smell bad tins stink lol But mainley they have iams dry food
