Basically ive fucked two Alcon six paddles in the space of a year. The first one wasnt right from the start and Xfactor replaced it when it gave up
The second one seemed fine for a bit but then gave up. They both failed in the same way. The springs basically came out and held the finger plates out on the cover . Is it just a case of there shite clutchs or is there something wrong with my car making them do this?? I had the flywheel skimmed both times not that i can see that causing any problems.
I jsut dont wanna keep getting tha same problem if i can prevent it.Can anyone think of what could cause it??
here is a pic of the first clutch i fucked

Maybe the clutch is too strong for the type of driving you do? I cant imagine stop starting alot is very good on a racing clutch, would put it under alot of stresses it wasnt designed for i'd have thought.

Yea its a right pain. Ive spoken to loads of mechanic friends and no one can tell me why its happening. Im putting a std a flywheel in this time aswell instead of my lightened one , not that i can see a flywheel causing my problems.
