Default solid engine mounts...

do the likes of vibratec solid mounts still use rubber, but a lot harder, or are they totally solid items?

as in i could get me old man to whip up some proppa solid ones that are all metal, and no rubber.

i know it would vibrate like a c*nt but would it have any adverse effects such as shearing the bolts off the mounts etc?

I think vibratechs do a couple of different options, but my ones still have a bush.

Even then it sends more vibration through the car though, its quite noticeable

too much vibration could cause the electrical connections to come loose. bits will be falling off everywhere

Because standard ones are properly shit. They fail all the time (mine lasted maybe 10k km's on Stage 1 small turbo), they make whole car fell rubbery as whole transmission system moves about, and they destroy all the effect of lift-off in corners, vibratechnics are so much better.

Fudge, go out in Richys 205 and as soon as he turns the key,
you will realise why you dont want solid mounts.

his aint even nearly solid and they are too much (just about!)
