Default Cosworth 3 door

Hi there Can anyone answer some of my questions or show me some pictures to help
I am restoring my 3 door Cosworth fully and I am putting a big bhp engine should be around 600 bhp and now the brakes I am using are 6 pots at the front with 335mm discs on the front and 4 pots capliers with 328 MM. Discs on the rear and I need to buy some wheel for the car was thinking of getting some made buy image wheels but I just need to find out what will look the best I want 17inch wheels because I don't want to do any arch mods so what off set is best to use to fit my capliers and what j to use eg 7.5 or 8
Also we my braking system with the abs work on the capliers that I am using or am I best to remove all the abs setup this I a road car so I do need it to be able to pass a mot
Thanks for your help

Would never remove the abs on a cossie, no reason for it not to work with different calipers, got AP 6 pots on mine and had the expense of finding all the abs parts for the car as it had been taken off in the past.
Just missing front abs sensors now but the cars been off the road 10 years and fitting brakes is the least of my worries

I've binned my abs on my 3door, n fitted jag brembos up front with 355 discs, n 320mm rears on 4wd calipers. Abs never worked anyway on mine so done away with it altogether. Most my mates have aswell with no issues at all

You'll want 8x17 wheels offset et32 or et35.
A decent Motorsport wheel will give the caliper clearance.

I have as above et32 with front 350mm and rear 325mm disks.

Until you brake hard and the back end overtakes the front

surely if the rears are locking up way before the front thats a brake balance issue and you would need to add more bias to the fronts.

They were fitted with abs for a reason, it's only my personal opinion and experience friends have had with no abs, does it seem right to double the horsepower of a 1980's poor handling barge then remove the abs especially in a road setup where the driving surface is never the same, ie dry, damp, mud, diesel on the road especially?
But like I said personal preference, people look at things differently.

I have focus RS brakes on the saph with no ABS and cossie 4 pots on the 3dr with no ABS - not locked the wheels up yet but they feel fine.

The ABS on my moonstone 3dr was shockingly shit even with new calipers, discs, pads all round

Couldn't agree more mate. Brakes are shit on cossies std n ABS weren't worth fitting. My brakes are loads better on my 3dr with ABS gone

Ahh that's the problem, my original pump seems to be knackered , so have been considering alternatives

can you use the big servo and master from a 2.0 twin cam as they had no abs and big servo - thats what my saph has. Havent checked what the 3dr has but im guessing its the standard 1.6 servo so will be looking to change that at a later date
