Yes , it is a shade of smokestone blue but........it was built by ford in 1990 and used to go to all the dealerships etc to see if they liked the colour before it went into production years later, so it is the first smokestone blue sierra rs cosworth 4x4 prototype but ford didn't register the car until late 93 when my friend bought it, hence why it has red top engine, early dashboard. So a rare car with good story behind it.
Hopefully pics will come soon.

I'm glad it's all sorted matey, any ideas who was trying to pinch it from under your feet?? Do you think it was anyone off here?? If it was that's bang out of order, and I'd name and shame the bastards.
Look forward to seeing this getting restored.

Sweet mate, keep hold of it, no doubt the perpetrator will approach you to buy it if they were willing to stoop low in sneaking a deal under your nose, what's really worrying is how they would know who was selling it in the first place.

Believe it or not they're the wheels that have been on it from new the spoke things are painted smokestone but it does come with the lattice wheels, supplied by ford.

Think what's happened is, I originally posted a pic which had the chassis number on, it was kindly pointed out to me so quickly removed but in the meantime somebody/s had tried to source the registered keeper (my mate) and contact him....anyway it's naughty but done now.
The wheels are a massive 15" momo alloy ...question is do I keep them on as ford sold it or do I bin em?

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
Yep, old skool Momo's that you could colour code the spokes on, terrible imo.
Even though Ford added them to the car as a demo type thing, they are still aftermarket and i would personally go for standard Cosworth wheels, but keep the Momo's to show as part of its history incase any pics surface of it in its original state.
Looks a nice find, wonder if it will add value with the background of it.

The lad that was selling wasn't at fault as at the end of the day first past the post wins IMO but what a job for tucking me up.
Did laugh when he put the engine in his own car unaware it had a bleed valve fully opened to make it fast then went pop about 2miles from his house after he fucking nailed it from freezing cold set up by "himself" in the garage.
Never mind eh!!!
On a happier note well done for getting the car, lovely colour that smoke stone.
