Those are good numbers for basically standard cars.

Good result Andy. I remember Cosworth saying when they delivered these engines that they ranged from about 200bhp - 220bhp on the original 2wders due to production tolerances.

Always faster accelerating than the supposedly similar powered/similar weight E30 M3 when new in mag tests, maybe the extra torque helped.

One of the mag journos reckoned the Ford press cars were tweaked and then had to retract it when Turbo technics lent a 285bhp converted car to Autocar and it was even faster again than the standard cars

Bugger I'll have to go and spend more money on a car mag now to have a look, good result though.

Was a good day and think we were all happy with our results.Amazing how mint and original your saff is Andy its a credit to you and nice to see one like that for a change. Thanks again for the lend of the clutch cable it saved the day for me! Was happy with my xr4 results too considering the exhaust manifold gaskets blew on the way and the exhaust is home made and very restrictive.

Thats good power as said I remember when new many were above the claimed power but even so good to make that power now.

Do you think the exhaust make much diffrence?
