Default Help needed with my saph

Got a quick question regarding my saph, i'll explain it all so it hopefully makes some sense

sorry if this is in the wrong section, thought it was better to be in here

the cambelt went in april this year, i had the head rebuilt new valve stem seals and guides fitted, it was the put back on the car with all new gaskets etc

when torquing the head down i re used my arp stud and nut kit, i had called woodford garage before doing this and they confirmed to me on the phone that they were re-usable, we had an issue with one of the centre bolts not wanting to torque properly which we found out was due too a numpty using the wrong setting on the troque wrench, rest of the bolts etc torqued down fine after this correction

after getting the saph back on the road 1 week before ford fair i have noticed that my oil consumption is alot more than it use to be before the head was done

i had issues with random puff's of smoke coming from under the car which after cleaning my breather seems to have solved this issue, but i have developed a nice blue puff after high rev gear changes which we think could be a turbo issue, but every now and then i still get puff's coming from around the turbo area, which only seem to happen when i'm at a stand still

i have had the saph off the road for a while now due to work hrs being cut and the oil and smoke issue

could some help with tell me the symptoms of a cracked block? or what might be causing my issues above

any help or advice on what i can check would be mega handy, if you need anymore info i'll do my best to try and answer them

Cheers

Terry

Sounds more like it will be turbo wear causing it, take off the turbo to intercooler pipe and see if there is any oil in the pipe, it's not unusual to have a very fine mist, but absolutely nothing more.

it was just one of those situations where it happened straight after the head rebuild and it was fine before that.

I will give you a hand to have alook on the weekend

yeah i was told to check that which i did and i didn't find any oil in the boost pipe, but i shall check again this weekend

mate of mine saph has a tiny bit of blue smoke on over run which i was told is fine, but mine never had any blue smoke on over run before my cambelt went and the head was re done, and as boost mad said its only started doing it since the head was re done

did think it might of been the stem seals but there is no smoke on idle, which i presume that if the seals had gone(after the rebuild) that it would smoke on idle?

@ alex:- why thank you sir
