Great cars- still a bit on the heavy side but plenty of power to move it around.
I've fitted bigger injectors , replacement valve springs ( real weak spot) ,and a unichip with boost only raised to 8psi but still putting out 400bhp and 590nm . The torque being the best bit.
Anything done to your AU - they sound real good with headers etc.??

Haven't done a lot to the AU yet, just a K&N panel Filter, spacer on the inlet manifold, got rid of the mufflers, just the resonator on the back (its got through 3 mots like that now ) Had it re-mapped by Adam at SCT (He's got a nice F6 Typhoon) I've also got a set of Pacemaker tri-y headers on the way that I ordered when I was home last month. Still don't think it'll get anywhere near 400bhp without a blower though.
Did you bring yours in yourself? I thought they were making it a real pain these days.

Emigrated to N.Z in 2004 but the misses did'nt like after 2 years so we returned , but only if I could bring back a toy !!!
AS a personal import there were no probs as long as I owned it for a year in N.Z before shipping and 1 year before I can sell it here.
Only things to be done at sva was a mph speedo and a rear fog light.
Speedo was a pain as they dont use a sender in the gearbox but take a average from all four abs sensors.
Main prob is getting any aussies to get of their asses to send parts across the world. Most will sell parts but cant be assed to sort out any shipping.
Have got a new larger intercooler and piping on route but still trying to sort a exhaust.

I know what you mean about getting parts sent across, a few times I've had people email to say its too expensive to make it worth while, in other words I can't be arsed to find out how much shipping is.
Having said that bayford parts (bayford.com.au) are pretty good, the export manager guy couldn't be more Australian if he tried.
I'm deciding what to do with my exhaust as well, tossing up between a single 3in or a twin 2 1/4in. Got a custom exhaust guy local to me who will do a twin stainless 2 1/4 from the cats back for just shy of £500, but its not mandrel bent so I'm a bit iffy about it. Tempted to go the 3in purely for the sound. I'll wait til I've got the pacemakers on before I decide either way.
Where were you in NZ? I was in Papakura.
Got any pics XR6T's are car porn!

We lived in Napier but we spent a week in Papakura while the car was having the unichip and valve springs replaced just before we came home. Not sure if I would cope with auckland traffic for to long.
I want to get a full system made up from turbo back incl high flow cat - the prices are so much cheaper in aus for exhausts ( $2100 incl high flow cat). I had a quote from a local stainless specialist who wanted approx 1000 pound from cat back and using my original back box - they must think I'm stupid!!!!
Have got pics- just got to work out how to put them on.

Hi Mate,
Those pictures rock, loving it in red. I hear what you're saying about Auckland traffic, I was back there last month, can't believe how bad its got. Also impressed by how dodgy looking Papakura has got as well. Wouldn't leave the XR6T lying around there.. get a bit too much attention from the cuzzie bro fraternity.
As for exhausts I'm considering getting a rage system from Christchurch. They are just under £300 for your car plus another £50 p&p through partsco.com. Just going to get the headers stuck on first though.
