This happens with some of the older ECU programs - took mine to ford and they did the upgrade for me - cured instantly!

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes then reconnecting then letting it relearn the idle? Mine only stalled with a Bailey DV if you hammered it then ldipped the clutch at high revs as you pull up to a stop.

To relearn the idle once you've reconnected the battery restart the car and sit and make sure it doesnt stall by feathering the accelerator if required, once the idle settles to around the 7-800rpm mark let it sit for 2-3 minutes like that, then dip the throttle a bit and hold it about 2000 for a minute then lift and see if it stalls. If it does try it again, if it doesnt take it out for a good drive with a variety of high speed runs and it should settle back down.

Hope this helps a bit.

Rich

Yes if you hammer it then stop at say a junction or something it will stall, but he said it definately did it before the dump valve was fitted because he booked it in at the garage i work at and ive check the computer and we fitted an idle speed contol valve, which obviously hasnt work!
I'll try that though, we has the battery off when we fitted the K&N but I reved it up as soon as I started it ha ha!
Thanks guys!

My one does this after a service today, so they must have had the battery out. Gonna try the idle.

Think that they put mine back to the AE to stop the cutting out kev.

Not sure to be honest - the tab on the inside of the door says ae and the test using the digi dash says 'E' not 'F'.
