No it doesn't. It only really covers the transmission for the 1.8/2.0l models which is slightly different.

I am trying to find out how to fit the gear lever return spring so it goes back into the third forth slot properly. The haynes manual doesnot seem to cover this procedure or give a clear picture/breakdown of the parts cheers mate

I have not yet played with it but problem is gear lever does not centralise as it should so third gear sometimes difficult to find.

so you have had nothing apart yet.if its only sloping to one side its nothing serious.when you take it apart it will become obvious what it is

Here's the 'how to' guide.
http://www.fileshost.com/download.php?id=BD3CE4EB1 very straight forward. About £4 for the spring but use some grease on it when installing it. Found the code for the spring: FINIS 1142069 quote that number to ford and they'll know the part you need.
