First post so go easy on me please

Im currently looking for a focus S, i've heard the 1.6 is sluggish, is there any mods i could get to improve the performance without spending a fortune.

And how does the petrol compare to the diesel version, i know the diesels are abit more expensive but is it worth the extra cost all in all?

Full exhuats, inc. mani and decat/sports cat, and a set of shawspeed ss4 cams with a remap, should see 140-150bhp on the older, non vvt engines. If I was you, I'd go for the 2.0

 

What about a newer engine?

 

If you got VCT then phone Montune. They do a range of performance packs for the new Fiesta ZS which has the same engine

 

Is the 2009 (09) 1.6l 113 bhp zetec S engine worth moding?

Like i say i cant afford to spend a fortune just want a bit more power as much as i can squeeze for as low a cost as possible.

Can anyone tell me mods and give a rough price and rough bhp increase.

If i got summit like 20-25 bhp increase would it made much of a difference? sorry for the daft questions, i've only ever had a few cars and none of them have been quick just small cheap cars to be honest and never moded them.
