I know the 2.0 into 1.6 focus has been covered on here many times but I just want to be sure the models and engines i have will swap ok.
The project car is 1998 1.6 mk1 2door and the donor is 2001 2.0 mk1.5? ghia 4 door.I have the complete 2.0 car with all parts available
My queries;
can i fit the aircon from the ghia?
do i have to fit the anti slip control from the ghia?
should i swap the engine crossmember? or will the 2.0 mounts go on the original?
how much of the loom do i need to change? I've been told some of the looms are interchangable,i.e. can plug the engine loom into the existing harness.
Any other hidden pitfalls?
Am I mad or am I about to be driven mad?
