Hope someone can help

I have a 2007 1.25 Fiesta and the boot will no longer open via the Key or
the Button on the dash.

Is this a common problem and how can I fix?

 

I had this problem last year on my 2007 model too. Ended up getting a garage to replace the lock mechanism. It started with the boot not releasing from the internal button and then eventually progressed to problems with the key also.
